London’s famed Corinthia Hotel is scripting a major expansion and ambitious market leadership plan in the UAE – and the wider Middle East region, which will see the super-luxury hospitality group opening high-end hotel projects in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Oman.
Saudi Arabia’s emerging international tourist hub, the Red Sea area and Jeddah are among the other cities which will see Corinthia’s super-luxury hotel projects coming up, along with its projects currently underway in Riyadh and Doha.
The proposed slew of hotel projects will be set up through unique and flexible management contract arrangements with Corinthia’s existing and new capital partners specialising in luxury hotel real estate.
“We are developing Corinthia Hotels into a global luxury hospitality brand, with the UAE and the Middle East as some of the key markets due to strong inbound and outbound demand,” Simon Casson, CEO of Corinthia Hotel London, told Arabian Business.
“Our clients frequently travel to the Middle East and we aim to offer them Corinthia experiences there,” he said.
Casson said with the surge in international tourism in the region, the group sees significant growth potential and believes “Corinthia can enhance new hotel projects, maximising their value and appeal”.

Eyes DIFC, beach location in Dubai, more locations in Middle East
Casson said the group is open to other locations in the Middle East that meet its criteria for top-end luxury hotels.
“We will be aiming for market leadership and exceptional guest experiences,” he said.
The top executive said the group’s flexible area programmes will be developed in partnership with stakeholders and will include features like 70-150 keys, restaurants, bars, gyms, and wellness facilities,” he said.
Casson said the group will also consider branded restaurant, spa, and residential components in its proposed high-end hotel projects in the UAE and the wider region.
He said the group will focus on key city centres and resort locations in the UAE and the broader Middle East, prioritising sites like DIFC and a beach location in Dubai.
It also plans to have a property in Abu Dhabi, and a presence in Oman in the high-end hospitality segment.
“Our growth strategy relies on management contracts and leases, supported by both our existing and new capital partners in the hotel and real estate sectors,” the Corinthia Hotel top executive said.

Corinthia’s tailored growth strategy
Casson said though the UAE has the presence of most of the leading global brands in the hospitality sector, Corinthia will distinguish itself in the market with its unique growth and brand strategy.
“Our approach is individually tailored and partnership-driven, offering flexible contract terms that allow owners to be part of an exciting growth story.
“We will also focus on creating unique collaborations that cater to the specific needs and goals of our partners,” he said.
Casson said Corinthia’s key successes, such as its renowned project in London, demonstrate its ability to deliver outstanding results and capitalise on market opportunities.
“Additionally, our currently confirmed pipeline of projects, which will be operational by the time the new hotels [in the UAE and the region] come online, will underscore our robust growth and commitment to excellence,” he said.
“This will ensure that new properties will benefit from our proven track record and established brand reputation,” the Corinthia Hotel top honcho said.
