Buoyed by the recent improved performances of the real estate sector in the emirate, Sharjah authorities are planning more initiatives to further broaden their international and local engagement in the sector.
As part of this, the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department (SRERD) have discussed future plans to upgrade the forthcoming “Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition- ACRES,” to build on its past successes.
During a meeting held at the SCCI headquarters, both sides explored avenues for reinforcing the exhibition’s leading position as one of the biggest events in the regional real estate sector and amplifying its contribution to the ongoing developments of the real estate landscape in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The meeting discussed the future growth prospects of ‘ACRES’, its strategic visions, and development proposals.
They also reviewed the event’s accomplishments during its 2024 edition, which featured real estate transactions amounting to AED1.4 billion contributed by projects from local and international participants.
This marked an impressive growth rate of 202.4 percent compared to last year’s edition, with a notable public turnout of approximately 13,000 visitors, including investors, businessmen, and representatives from both private and public real estate institutions.
“We look forward to bolstering the event’s contribution to advancing the gains of the real estate sector in the emirate and enhancing its role in the GDP, thereby furthering its developmental ambitions,”Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the SCCI, said.
He said the meeting delved into innovative proposals, visions, and future plans geared towards improving the exhibition’s performance in the forthcoming edition in line with Sharjah’s booming real estate sector.
Besides Al Owais, the meeting was attended, among others, by Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director-General of the SRERD, and Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of the SCCI.
