These achievements follow sustained strategic investments in the sector, with AED5.745 billion—representing 8 percent of the federal budget—allocated to healthcare and community prevention services for the 2025 fiscal year.

The UAE’s healthcare sector continues to expand rapidly. Recent reports project healthcare spending to reach approximately AED151 billion by 2029, growing at a compound annual rate of 6.7 percent.

According to the Ministry of Economy, healthcare expenditure is expected to reach $26 billion by 2028, while the country plans to invest AED118 billion in the sector by 2027.

These investments focus on infrastructure development and strengthening public-private partnerships, supporting the UAE’s comprehensive national health strategy.

The nation’s rise in global healthcare rankings is further attributed to its digital transformation initiatives and growing medical tourism sector.
