The UAE government is set to host a special Covid-19 briefing on Monday afternoon.
The briefing will be held at 5:30pm, the Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) said.
Update: The briefing announced the removal of face mask rules in the UAE.
Although the authority didn’t elaborate the details of Monday’s event, special media briefings typically include new safety measures around Covid-19.
The government has gradually relaxed pandemic-related regulations in recent months. Just in the beginning of the year, wearing a face mask outdoors was no longer mandatory.
The UAE on Sunday recorded a total of 355 new Covid-19 cases, which was the lowest recorded in four months.
