The much-anticipated Barbie movie has been cleared for its release in the UAE by the UAE Media Council.
The film, which has been creating a buzz for its portrayal of a doll and her friends in a picture-perfect pink world, has already shattered box office records in other countries.
Barbie will now release in UAE cinemas on August 31.
Directed by the acclaimed Oscar-nominated writer,director Greta Gerwig, the film stars Hollywood icons Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling in the lead roles.
Initially set to hit UAE theaters on July 20, the movie faced a delay.
Due to this, some UAE residents who are Barbie fans, have travelled abroad to catch the movie.
