Emaar’s new Dubai Square will be one of the world’s most advanced developments, using AI for the design, construction and creating “unique” personalised customer experiences.
Speaking after a workshop to put the final touches on the project as construction gets underway, Emaar founder Mohamed Alabbar told Arabian Business: “I don’t think anyone has done anything quite this spectacular. We haven not only got some of the most advanced designs you can imagine, but also some never-before-seen aspects for technology and entertainment. We have been doing a very deep study on the shifts in consumer behaviours when it comes tor retailing, and all these learnings are now being implemented.”
What is Dubai Square by Emaar?
According to Emaar, Dubai Square is a residential, hospitality and retail city that will boast 10,000 residential units, over 1,500 hotel rooms and a 7,500 sq m retail district – approximately the size of The Dubai Mall.
Dubai Square will be facing the iconic Dubai Creek Tower and the Dubai Creek Plaza. The projects will be connected through a cutting-edge underground extension.
The new development is heavily focused on family entertainment, with free live shows at the futuristic Grand Plaza. A dedicated art district, technologically enhanced Ice Adventure and a rooftop waterpark are also planned.
“This is a project where we have really made the most of AI, to fully understand consumer behaviour, and to come up with the best solutions when it comes to engineering, architecture, and sustainability. I also feel this is a great moment to train our young architects and engineers to be part of one of the most sophisticated retail and entertainment destinations in world,” Alabbar said.
Emaar is planning to complete bot the new landmark Creek Tower and Dubai Square project at the same time in 2027.
