Careem, the leading multi-service app in the region, has shared its customer trends from 2023.
The Careem Everything App is available in ten countries ranging from Morocco to Pakistan and providing over 20 digital services in the UAE.

One of the popular features of Careem is its Careem Plus membership, which has enabled customers to save over $19 million in 2023.
Careem Plus members enjoy benefits such as free delivery on food and grocery orders, 10 percent cashback on Careem and Hala rides, unlimited free Careem Bike rides, discounts on home cleaning and laundry services, and up to 50 percent off dining bills through Careem DineOut.
The largest spend recorded on Careem DineOut was an astonishing $20,420 at MyGovindas in the UAE, where a customer saved an impressive $2,994 on Diwali gift boxes, which is 580 times the Careem Plus monthly subscription.
1.1 million burgers delivered to customers via Careem

Careem Food has been instrumental in serving delicious meals to over 1.4 million people across the region in 2023.
Notably, 1.1 million burgers were delivered to customers, and one customer in Saudi Arabia relied heavily on Careem Food, ordering more than 1,400 meals throughout the year, amounting to nearly four orders per day.
The largest group order of the year, valued at $480, was placed at Cafe Bateel in Saudi Arabia for a five-course Valentine’s Day meal featuring Valentine’s truffles and dates.
Al Baik retained its position as the most popular restaurant for food delivery in Saudi Arabia for the third consecutive year.
In addition, Careem Food witnessed an 80 percent increase in healthy food orders in the UAE.
Careem Quik user orders Apple iPhone 15, Watch Ultra 2 worth $2,042

Quik Groceries, another service provided by Careem, delivered a staggering 1.76 million super-fast grocery orders to satisfied customers in 2023.
The largest single order placed through Quik Groceries was worth $2,042 and included the purchase of the new iPhone 15 and an Apple Watch Ultra 2.
A single customer placed a whopping 473 orders throughout the year. The fastest delivery time recorded was an astonishing one minute, covering a distance of just 500 metres.
Water and bananas emerged as the most ordered items, with the weight of bananas ordered in 2023 equivalent to over 1,000 gorillas.
Moreover, customers ordered enough drinking water to fill an Olympic swimming pool.
India, Pakistan users use Careem Pay to send money internationally

Careem Pay, the financial services platform offered by Careem, simplified financial transactions for 770,808 customers across the region.
The most popular day to send money to India and Pakistan using Careem Pay’s international remittance service was the last Thursday of the month.
One customer sent a total of $76,389 to Pakistan throughout the year, and the fastest remittance transfer was completed in just 16 seconds, from the UAE to India.
In addition, a customer spent $60,288 on bills paid through Careem Pay in 2023, highlighting the convenience and popularity of the service.
Dubai International Airport emerges as most popular airport for Careem Rides

Careem Rides facilitated over 70 million ride-hailing trips across the region, covering a distance of more than 800 million kilometers, which is farther than Jupiter.
Careem Rides caters to both short and long trips, with the longest requested trip in 2023 spanning an impressive 950 kilometres.
The top three most popular airports for Careem Rides were Dubai International Airport, Riyadh International Airport, and Jeddah International Airport.
The most popular intercity route was between Dubai and Sharjah.
Interestingly, customers in Dubai, Riyadh, and Amman were most prone to leaving items behind in their Careem rides, with some of the unusual items forgotten including a bridal dress, a pillow, a ring, and a hair wig.
Careem Bike users reduce carbon emissions by 1.29 million tonnes

Careem Bike, introduced in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, witnessed a promising response, with nearly 2,000 customers traveling almost 60,000 kilometers across the city in the first month alone.
The most active Careem Bike rider completed an impressive 4,357 trips throughout the year, primarily for delivering orders from the restaurant they work for in JLT.
The second most active rider completed 2,288 trips, mainly for their daily commute. The longest bike ride recorded in 2023 lasted 5 hours and 38 minutes, with an adventure seeker covering the Al Qudra bike track in the UAE.
Remarkably, Careem Bike users collectively reduced carbon emissions by 1.29 million tonnes, equivalent to taking 361 cars off the road for the entire year.
