Some aircraft departures were delayed after a water leak impacted operations at Concourse 2 at Dubai International Airport.
Airport chiefs have apologised to passengers affected by the leak which was at 6:50am on Wednesday morning.
It affected six remote gates but has been rectified, an official source from Dubai Airport said in comments published by news agency WAM.
“The situation is under control and we hope to restore normal operations as soon as possible. We offer our sincere apologies to passengers who have been affected,” said Chris Garton, senior vice president, Airport Operations.
Passengers and staff were transferred to Concourse 1 and the water leak caused minor delays to some departures.
Garton said on Wednesday that Dubai Airports was working hard to return operations back to normal.
