L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts is set to establish a permanent campus in the emirate at Dubai Design District (d3) in November, the Dubai Media Office said.
Founded in 2012 in Paris, with support from Van Cleef & Arpels, the school aims to make jewellery education accessible to all.
L’ÉCOLE already has two permanent campuses in Paris, and one each in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
The addition of the Dubai campus further expands its international reach, making it a significant player in the global jewellery education landscape.
Dubai Design District (d3) serves as an ideal location for L’ÉCOLE’s expansion. It is a hub for creative businesses and entrepreneurs, fostering a vibrant community of talent and innovation.
“Dubai’s magnet for iconic creative brands and brilliant talent is growing stronger. The arrival of institutes like L’ÉCOLE takes our efforts a step further, providing creative minds the opportunity to sharpen their skills and craft original, innovative designs,” Khadija Al Bastaki, Senior Vice President of d3 – TECOM Group said.
The design of the new campus in Dubai reflects a modern, inviting atmosphere. “There’s a common thread linking the three new campuses that L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts is opening this year in Paris, in the Hôtel de Mercy-Argenteau, in Shanghai, in the Twin Villas, and in Dubai, at Dubai Design District (d3). But here, even though I’ve worked to create a soothing atmosphere that, I hope, will make you feel good, there are more contrasts, with stronger and denser colours,” Constance Guisset, the creative mind behind the campus’s design said.

L’ÉCOLE’s presence in the emirate will not only feature a campus but also host free temporary exhibitions.
The inaugural exhibition will be titled “Garden of Emeralds” and will explore the world of emeralds, offering insights into the scientific, cultural, artistic, and technical aspects of these gemstones.
In addition to exhibitions, L’ÉCOLE Middle East will offer a program of in-person talks covering areas like jewellery craftsmanship, gemstones, and the history of jewellery.
Moreover, from spring 2024, the institution will provide courses and workshops for adults and children, conducted by a team of knowledgeable lecturers.
