Bahrain’s Ahli United Bank , the country’s largest by market value, posted a net profit decline of 9 percent to $68.38 million in the third quarter compared to the same period in 2007.
Third-quarter earning were calculated by newswire Reuters based on previous financial data as the lender reported nine-month profit which rose 24 percent to $280 million.
In the first nine months of 2007 it made a net profit of $225.9 million.
It said the earnings per share reached $0.61 in the nine months to Sept. 30 compared to $0.55 in the same period a year earlier. (Reuters)
