Dubai Courts said on Friday, all customers must update their Emirates ID at the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Port Security.
The alert posted via Twitter read, “Our valued customers, please update your ID at the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security via the following link: https://icp.gov.ae/service/ @UAEICP #DubaiCourts #Dubai #UAE”.
The post clarified that updating the Emirates ID makes it easier for the authorities to reach the customer in the case of any legal proceedings in Dubai Courts.
Official IDs must be updated at the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship.
Last week, Dubai Courts also clarified on how individuals can attend judicial sessions remotely using the following steps:
- Visit the Dubai Courts official website – www.dc.gov.ae
- Click on ‘Public Services’ to attend a remote session in Dubai Courts
- Click on ‘Sessions Agenda’ to learn how to remotely attend judicial sessions in Dubai Courts
- Select the name of the judicial department to remotely attend the session
- Click on the icon in the form of a video image to join the judicial department and request to attend a session
