Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president and prime minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, on Tuesday announced a major cabinet reshuffle that included four new ministers and a new ministry.
Among the changes was the appointment of Suhail Bin Mohammed al-Mazroui as Minister of Energy, state news agency WAM reported. He replaces Mohammed al-Hamli.
The new ministers include Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, the CEO of Abu Dhabi-based Masdar, who becomes Minister of State, and Abdullah Bin Mohammed Ghobash, who also becomes Minister of State.

Al Nuaimi, another new minister, has been appointed Minister of Public Works. He
replaces Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, who becomes Minister of Higher
Education and Scientific Research.
Other changes in the reshuffle have seen Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, former Minister for Higher Education and Scientific Research, move to become Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development.
Former Minister of Foreign Trade Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi has been appointed Minister of Development and International Cooperation.
Abdul Rahman Bin Mohammed Al Owais, former Acting Minister of Health, and Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, is now Minister of Health.
“The former team of ministers have performed their duty, serving their country,” Sheikh Mohammed announced via Twitter.
“The UAE never forgets the achievements of its loyal citizens. Such amendments are made to accelerate the pace of development in our country and to further achieve the aspirations of our people. There will be young faces with new ideas and energy to keep up with the rapid changes and to deal with our people’s top priorities.”
