Emaar Properties’ Burj Khalifa – the world’s tallest building – has been named the third most popular attraction in the world to appear in selfies, new research has found.
A study from AttractionTix.co.uk analysed the locations featured in Instagram selfies and the Dubai icon made it into the top ten.
Topping the list was the Eiffel Tower in Paris, followed by Disney World in Florida.
The five-year-old tower proved to be more popular than much older rivals, including London’s Big Ben, Barcelona’s Sagrada Familia, Rome’s Colosseum, London’s Buckingham Palace, the Sydney Opera House and New York’s Statue of Liberty.
