Dubai schools will have a three-day weekend holiday and special remote learning to commemorate UAE National Day.

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) announced sates of a holiday to mark the occasion.

It also revealed private nurseries, universities and schools would switch to remote learning lessons on Friday, December 1.

In a characteristically fun message on social media, the KHDA said: ““To Jad in Grade 10 who messaged to ask us to “Please cancel my maths test next Monday. Please, I’ll do anything just cancel it” — the answer is yes, of course!

“Distance learning on Friday, December 1 and day off on Monday, December 4 for private nurseries, schools and universities in Dubai.

“Have a beautiful National Day holiday, especially you Jad”.

The UAE has previously announced dates for public and private sector workers across the country, with a three-day weekend in place for most employees in the country.
