Tek Signals has announced major business orders from both the Al Majd Satellite Channel and Qatar Radio and Television. The Arabic-language cultural channel, Al-Majd has acquired a Grass Valley Kalypso Video Production Center, 2 Profile XP Media Platform digital video servers and a 128×128 Concerto Series compact router for its transmission and live production facility at Dubai Media City (DMC). The Qatar Radio & Television installation includes a Thomson secured a multi-million dollar order to drive the systematic upgrade of the company’s existing facilities. The order includes a four mix/effects Grass Valley Kalypso Video Production Center vision mixer, two Grass Valley Model 1200 vision mixers, the Grass Valley Concerto Series compact routing matrix, and an extensive amount of Grass Valley 8900 Series modular product.“Market conditions in Middle East has been extremely buoyant for a number of years.
