Bloom Properties said on Tuesday it has awarded the main contract for the construction of its mixed-use real estate project in Abu Dhabi.
The master developer announced Shapoorji Pallonji Mideast (SPM) has won the deal for Bloom Central.
The 25-storey Bloom Central will house two properties managed and operated by Marriott International – the five-star, 315-room Abu Dhabi Marriott Hotel and the 64-key Marriott Executive Apartments Abu Dhabi City Centre.
Bloom Central will also offer 49 two and three-bedroom residences, as well as over 7,000 square metres of office space and is slated for completion in early 2014.
Leading consultant, Heberger Engineering, will provide support for the construction work at Bloom Central, Bloom Properties said in a statement.

“Based on this objective, Bloom Central has been planned to further bridge the gaps in the hospitality sector. Upon completion which is expected by Q1 2014, the development will significantly complement the Bloom portfolio that revolves around building communities.”
Bloom Central is financed by Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank.
