Bitcoin breaks $40,000 as it reaches 19-month high

The price of Bitcoin crossed $40, 000 for the first time in 19 months on Sunday.
Ethereum also rose past $2,200, fuelled by growing expectations of US interest rate cuts and traders viewing the recent US action against crypto exchanges Binance and FTX as steps towards an imminent approval of stockmarket-traded Bitcoin funds.
Bitcoin has been heating up for some time now as it is trying to come out of the “crypto winter” and hit a high of $40,210 in Sunday’s trade, and improved to $41,414, up nearly 3.4 per cent, in Asian trades on Monday.
UAE Founding Father Sheikh Zayed hologram delivers COP28 speech to world leaders

A 3D hologram of the UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, delivered a speech to world leaders and COP28 delegates.
The 3D hologram depicted Sheikh Zayed walking onto the stage to deliver a message at the World Climate Action Summit and followed the welcome address by UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The speech told of the UAE’s long history of conservation and environmental preservation.
Saudi Arabia issues final tax warning

Saudi Arabia has warned businesses to pay tax bills before end of the year or face fines.
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has urged taxpayers to take advantage of the “Cancellation of Fines and Exemption of Financial Penalties Initiative”, which ends on December 31, 2023.
According to ZATCA, as per the initiative, taxpayers are exempted from fines for late registration, delayed payment, overdue tax return filing, VAT return adjustment, and violations of e-invoicing and general provisions of VAT.
COP28 sees $57bn in climate deals in just 4 days

COP28 has seen more than $57bn (AED209bn) across the climate agenda in the first four days of the global climate summit.
The announcements are a powerful demonstration of global solidarity from governments, businesses, investors and philanthropists.
Following an historic agreement to operationalise a fund for climate impact response on day one, announcements have poured in across the entire climate agenda, including on finance, health, food, nature, and energy.
Dubai Police adds 330kmph McLaren Artura to supercar fleet

Dubai Police has added a McLaren Artura to its world-famous supercar patrol fleet.
The new addition is part of a strategic collaboration with McLaren Dubai, Performance Tuning.
The police fleet of supercars already includes cars from Aston Martin, Bugatti, Ferrari, Bentley, Porsche, Lamborghini and even luxury speed boats and a 3D-printed SWAT supertruck.
