The company behind the world’s largest indoor theme park being built in Dubai on Tuesday revealed it will open a total of 25 shops in the park.
IMG Worlds of Adventure, which is set to open in early 2016, will offer more than 5,000 product lines and gifts, including toys, collectables, fashion and accessories in its first year.
Over 60 percent of the parks total retail items have been developed exclusively for – and are only available at – the park, a statement said.
With a total of 73,000 square foot of retail development on the site, the IMG Emporium will offer visitors the chance to purchase special mementos of their day including a range of IMG Worlds of Adventure-themed clothes and accessories.
The park will also introduce a range of “edutainment” gifts, such as realistic replicas of the Barosaurus and T-Rex dinosaurs, plus interactive games from the Lost Valley-Dinosaur Adventure, Marvel and Cartoon Network zones, the statement added.
Lennard Otto, recently appointed CEO of IMG Worlds of Adventure, said: “We have developed a portfolio of bespoke retail brands not only unique to the region, but not available anywhere else in the world, placing IMG Worlds of Adventure solidly on the international theme park platform.
“With so many collectible items from iconic entertainment brands available exclusively through our IMG Worlds of Adventure portfolio, we are confident that this will be one of the largest and most interesting bespoke retail offerings under one roof, compared to any other entertainment destination in the world.”
