If there are two key issues facing boardrooms today, it’s technology and talent, how to innovate and how to retain those individuals businesses rely on evolve and push forward.
But when it comes to talent retention, and attraction, leaders now face the world of the Great Resignation, with workforces increasingly attuned to their mental health, and how the world of employment impacts them.
Is this a passing fad that bosses can ignore? Or do C-suites need to prepare to retool how they do business?
The Arabian Business UAE Forum 2022, our live event, will dive into this topic for a day of debate as part of its two-day agenda on technology and mental health, on June 28 and 29.
More detail will follow soon on day one, which focuses on which technology will win in 2022, but day two, June 29 will open up the discussion around what remains a highly-stigmatised subject in many offices.
Chris Haill, of the newly-minted mental health advocacy Mindforce Dubai, supported by Dubai Police, will share his powerful story while other sessions will focus on why boardrooms need to take mental health seriously, moderated by special guest, top charting mental health podcaster Ally Salama of EMPWR.
We’ll look at how businesses can implement mental health in the workplace with a session led by Bobbi Hartshorne, Chief Wellbeing Officer, WellWise, who unpack the issues with best-selling author Andy Fieldhouse of The Team Space, and Paul Firth, Founder & Managing Director – ICAS MENA.
A powerful panel, led by Arabian Business Editor in Chief Staff Writer, will ask ‘who foots the bill for mental health?’ He will be joined by Dr Sara Dallal – a member of the mental health board of Dubai Health Authority and President of Emirates Health Economics Society at Emirates Medical Association, Nahida Nayaz Ahmed, MD, Chair of Behavioral Health Council at Abu Dhabi health services company- SEHA, and Sara Boueri, Senior Director Human Resources at Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority.
And the final session will dive into ‘the ROI of mental health’ in conversation with Dr Saliha Afridi, Clinical Psychologist, Founder & Managing Director of The LightHouse Arabia.
