Because we all know most men hate shopping
1. Harvey Nichols Personal Shopper:
nThe luxury retail giant, located in Mall of the Emirates, offers a free personal shopping service in a dedicated private area. The men’s area is spacious and features a table for the display of accessories, a mirror split into three pieces to view all angles, and walls adorned with purchasable sports memorabilia.
nThe store also has an in-house tailor who’s available for bespoke orders.
2. Bloomingdales Personal Shopper:
nAnother luxury retailer, this time located in The Dubai Mall, also offers free personal shopping services. The store has a dedicated personal shopping room as well, where a three-way mirror resides. It offers complementary coffee, tea, and water as part of the experience.
nAppointment-wise, it is best to book a few days in advance. When you’ve made the booking, the personal shopper will contact you to know more about the styles you have in mind. The store also has an in-house tailor free of cost.
3. Natalie Trevis:
nFounder of personal shopping site stylephiles, Trevis worked as an assistant for Mission Impossible – Ghost Protocol costume designer, Michael Kaplan. In addition, she majored in fashion design and styling at two colleges include the London College of Fashion.
nThis background alone should have you interested. With eight years’ worth of experience, she charges AED700 ($190) to AED3,000 depending on the time spent with clients.
4. Kelly Lundberg:
nLundberg, founder of personal styling website stylemedivine, used to work as a cabin crew with Emirates Airline. Whilst working aboard, she used to share style and shopping tips with passengers, which in turn inspired her to start her own business.
nThe best thing about her website is that it offers services depending on shopping categories. These include the following: edit and organise your closet, shop styles that suit you, outfits for special occasions, wardrobe shopping for work, and style for vacations. Her rates start at AED500 for 2 hours with a senior stylist and AED750 for two hours with Lundberg herself.
5. Colour Me Beautiful:
nYes – this caters to men (as well as women). It’s basically an international website that provides personal styling services by country and location. When you go on the website, you simply click on “find stylist.” A stylist is then chosen for you and assesses you based on your skin, hair, and eye colour. The latter is to help the stylist find the best shades of colour for your new outfits. He/she will bring along swatches of the colours that suit you while shopping.
nWardrobe Editing and Personal Shopping start at AED200 per hour each.
