A low-magnitude earthquake struck west of Jeddah the Saudi Geological Survey, SGS said on Tuesday.

The tremor occurred on the Red Sea coast west of Jeddah city, at a distance of 91 km, the Saudi Press Agency reported that according to statements by the SGS official spokesman Tariq Aba Al-Khalil.

The quake was not felt in any of the coastal cities near the earthquake site due to its low impact, reassuring Saudi citizens and residents that the situation is stable in the region.
