Parts of the UAE are set to experience thunderstorm and rain, with moderate to heavy showers.
The country will also experience “a significant drop in temperature over the next three days starting tomorrow, with temperature being around 4°C,” Dr Ahmed Habib from the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) told local media on Thursday.
Fujairah and Dibba are expected to remain cloudy on Sunday, January 8, and will most likely see rains until noon. Al Ain is also expected to see moderate rain.
UAE weather
The lowest temperature recorded over the country on Thursday morning was 6.5 °C in Jais Mountain (Ras Al Khaimah) at 00:00 UAE local time.
Recently, the NCM also said that UAE would be hit by an “extension of upper air jet stream from the west accompanied with different cloud formation flow”.
The sea will be slight to moderate, becoming rough at times on both the days in the Arabian Gulf and slight to in Oman sea.
Parks were closed in Sharjah and motorists were warned to drive carefully on roads across the United Arab Emirates.
