Not many people can claim to have created a billion-dollar company from scratch – Pratik Gauri can do one better: he did so in the space of just 11 months.
The founder and CEO of 5ire.org, a 5th generation Blockchain ecosystem, is widely credited as the man doing the most to amplify the transition from the 4th Industrial Revolution to the 5th.
Only 31 years old, multi-millionaire Gauri is already being talked about as the “Indian Mark Zuckerberg.”
The company describes itself as “building a sustainable future through distributed ledger technology.”
Gauri studied at Indian Institute of Foreign Trade and later, advanced executive programmes at the University of Chicago.
According to his LinkedIn profile, he is now a “serial Indian social entrepreneur, investor, public speaker and writer widely known as the Creator of the 5th Industrial Revolution. He has been championing the UN Sustainable Development Goals and helping transition the world from a for-profit economy to a for-benefit economy for more than a decade.
While 5ire.org is what has found his fame and considerable fortune, Gauri has his hands in many pies: his other ventures include 5th Element Group India – a global impact management consultancy; Glastic – a zero-waste B2B glassware solutions brand, Let’s Do This, Let’s Go Social, World Web3 Association, and he has also served executive positions with the Tata Group.
But it’s 5ire where most his action is – this week, Gauri and the company hired former Chelsea soccer legend Didier Drogba as an advisor.
Confused? Don’t be…they are both heavily into sustainability issues, with – we are told – plenty of synergy between Gauri’s work and the Didier Drogba Foundation.
So, will Gauri be at GITEX in Dubai? Time will tell…
