Barclays Global Retail and Commercial Banking has appointed Ahmed Khizer Khan as chief executive, new markets for Barclays Global Retail and Commercial Banking.
Khan joins Barclays form Citibank, where he has worked across several emerging markets.
He most recently ran Citibank Global Consumer Bank in Pakistan.
In his new role, Khan will be based in Dubai, UAE with responsibility for Barclays businesses in the growing markets of Egypt, UAE, France and India.
This grouping of markets forms the basis of the new markets group going forward.
