Alpen Capital, a Dubai-based investment advisory firm, is to expand into Saudi Arabia after receiving the green light from the kingdom’s financial regulator.
Alpen, whose headquarters are in Dubai International Financial Centre, said that it would establish an office in the Saudi capital Riyadh to provide conventional and Sharia arranging and advising services.
The firm said it will target listed and unlisted clients including high net worth individuals and institutional and corporate clients. It will also seek to provide investment opportunities inside the kingdom for regional investors.
Alpen did not specify precisely when its presence in Saudi will be opening.
“Saudi Arabia is a very important market for us and we are excited about setting up our operations in the biggest GCC market,” said Rohit Walia, executive vice chairman & CEO, Alpen Capital Group.
“We are confident that our extensive experience in executing several transactions across sectors will enable us to provide value added services to our clients in Saudi Arabia,” Walla added.
Apart from the UAE, it has offices in Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and India.
