Qatar’s state-owned oil giant Qatar Petroleum said it had held meetings with the Algerian government to discuss cooperation in the energy sector.

Qatar Petroleum CEO Saad Sherida Al Kaabi discussed bilateral involvement in the two countries’ energy and investment fields with Algerian officials including industry and mines minister Abdul Salam Bushoarb and the director-general of the Algerian inward investment agency, Abdul-Karim Al Mansouri.

The meetings were reported on Qatar’s state news agency QNA.
