Sabic, the Saudi diversified chemicals giant, announced plans to set up a new petrochemical production project in Poland in a three-way joint venture with fellow oil giant Saudi Aramco and Poland’s largest energy group PKN Orlen.
The new facility is proposed to come up in Gdańsk in Poland.
Sabic said on Thursday it has signed a joint development agreement with Aramco and PKN Orlen to jointly assess the technical and economic feasibility for the petrochemical project.
Acting CEO of Sabic Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al-Fageeh said the joint development agreement laid the first cornerstones towards a potential partnership with Aramco and PKN Orlen in petrochemical production.
