Dubai Properties, the development arm of Dubai Properties Group, on Monday launched over 200 villas in response to growing demand in its Mudon community from investors.
The launch follows the initial sell-out of the first 398 townhouses in the Dubai development last year, the company said in a statement.
Inspired by Arabic themed designs and courtyard settings, villas in Rahat, the second phase of the Mudon community will consist of three, four and five bedroom properties.
Prices for the villas will start at AED3m ($816,781) with available plots ranging from 6700 sq ft to 10,000 sq ft.
Set among parkland, Rahat at Mudon will also include leisure and community facilities including cycle routes, jogging paths and children’s play areas.
Khalid Al Malik, Group CEO of DPG, said: “Mudon is one of the most popular communities in our expansive residential portfolio, and has received strong interest from local and regional buyers due to its great location, unique contemporary design and balanced lifestyle offering.
“Strong demand, particularly from investors in the villa sector, has driven the natural progression of the next development and sales phase for Mudon. Our ongoing investment in this sector will support the provision of homes for the growing population of Dubai.”
He added that since its launch last year, Mudon’s infrastructure and road network are near completion. Community facilities planned for the future include a school and the recently announced 64,000 sq ft community centre with an opening planned for early 2015. The centre will host a supermarket, restaurants, a pool and gym, tennis courts, a mosque, a children’s playground, nursery, clinic, and multi-function community hall.
