Legendary Irish band Hothouse Flowers will play Dubai Opera on St Patrick’s Day next year.
Hothouse Flowers, which started performing on Dublin’s Grafton Street, before exploding onto the UK music scene, will bring their hybrid of rock n’ roll, Irish folk and gospel influences to Dubai Opera for one night only, on March 17, 2019.
The band’s debut album People (1988) remains their most successful, reaching number one in Ireland and number 2 in the UK. The album features their debut single Don’t Go, and subsequent hits I’m Sorry and Feet On the Ground.
Their second album Home includes the song ‘I Can See Clearly Now’, which was used for the opening of Amazon Prime’s show The Grand Tour, hosted by the former Top Gear team of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.
