Submersible superyacht costs $24.4 million and can stay underwater for four days

Called Nautilus, the yacht submarine with fully customisable interiors has a 30 month wait time

An underwater superyacht was revealed at the Monaco Yacht Show last month, the Nautilus can function as a yacht and a submarine. U-Boat Worx, a Dutch builder is the company behind the engineering of the fully certified private submersible.

The Nautilus is diesel-electric, with a depth rating of 200 metres, surface cruise speed of nine knots and an underwater speed of four knots.

Features on the underwater superyacht include a sundeck equipped with a freshwater pool, a bar and a dining table, all of which is retracted before the submersible descends underwater.

The price tag on this first-of-a-kind submersible is EUR25 million ($24.3 million), once ordered, the owner has to wait for around 30 months for delivery.

The Nautilus’ interior layout is fully customisable by the client.

The interior design includes a 50 square metre dining and lounge area with four circular windows, a master bedroom, four staterooms, sleeping quarters for up to six crew members and a fully equipped galley.

The submersible superyacht can stay underwater for up to four days.

“People that have decided to buy a yacht will now have to consider if their vessel of choice can also dive down to 200 meters,” said U-Boat Worx Chairman and Founder Bert Houtman.

The EUR25 million price tag also includes an electric tender boat that can be used to send scuba divers to dive spots or for day trips.
