Emirates NBD, the largest Middle East lender in terms of assets, announced on Sunday it will offer its online banking customers free transfers until April 30.
The promotion, which begins on Monday, is valid for all local and international bank transfers that are completed via BankNet, the lender’s online banking system.
“At Emirates NBD, our customers are our priority, and we remain committed to making banking a convenient experience for them,” said Suvo Sarkar, executive vice president and general manager, Retail Banking, Emirates NBD.
Earlier this month, Emirates NBD, the UAE’s fourth largest bank, posted higher fourth-quarter profits but missed estimates as impairments against credit losses more than doubled.
The bank said net profit rose to AED178 million ($48.5 million) for the quarter ended December 31, from AED15 million prior-year period.
The bank said full year net profit fell to AED3.3 billion from AED3.7 billion in 2008 as it faced losses on investments in associates.
