New CEO appointed for Dubai Holding’s Arab Media Group

Mohamed Sharaf takes over at helm of Dubai Holding’s unit with operations in radio broadcasting, event management and family entertainment

Dubai Holding on Wednesday announced the appointment of Mohamed Sharaf as CEO of Arab Media Group (AMG).

AMG is Dubai Holding’s entertainment company with operations in radio broadcasting, event management and family entertainment.

In his role as CEO, Sharaf, an Emirati, will oversee the company’s portfolio of businesses including Global Village, the region’s family and cultural entertainment destination, Arabian Radio Network (ARN), the largest radio network in the UAE, and Done Events, an events and live entertainment company.

Sharaf previously led an investment team at Meraas with responsibility for deploying capital as well as establishing and managing joint ventures.

With Sharaf’s appointment, five of Dubai Holding’s seven group companies now have Emiratis as CEOs.
