UAE mission to international trade fair will focus on issues including SME development
Western Region delegates of the UAE’s official trade mission will focus on the development of SMEs, as well as a series of other topics, at the 17th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT).
The Western Region Development Council is attending the fair in the city of Xiamen from 8-11 October, which will be held on the sidelines of the International Investment Forum, forming part of a larger UAE mission.
The Council plans to discuss SME development as well as current and future development projects, while promoting the Western Region of Abu Dhabi and looking to establish relationships with Chinese and foreign investors.
Director general of the Western Region Development Council, Mohammed Hamad bin Azzan Al Mazrouei, said: “The participation of the WRDC in the official UAE trade mission falls in line with Al Gharbia 2030 planning to achieve overall development process by promoting means of collaboration with the Republic of China through the exchange of investment and economic plans with the relevant leading authorities.”
He added that great importance had to be placed on setting long-term strategies aimed at placing the Western Region on the “world investment map as a lucrative destination for local and foreign investment”.
