Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi was one of the top winners at the first annual World Spa Awards this month.
The luxury hotel won two awards, the World’s Best Hotel Spa 2015 and World’s Best Spa Signature Treatment 2015 for its 24-carat gold radiance facial, at the ceremony held in Vietnam earlier this month.
The expensive award-winning procedure costs in the region of AED1,890 ($515) for a 90 minute session.
Other big UAE winners include Etihad Airways, which won best airline lounge spa for its Etihad Six Senses Spa and Anantara Spa at Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara, which won the World’s Best Desert Spa 2015.
The Talise by Jumeirah brand was the recipient of the World’s Best Hotel Spa Brand 2015, while the All-men’s Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Centre won the World’s Best Male Spa 2015.
Winners are based on votes cast by the public and people who work in the industry.
