Some of the region’s most noted business leaders were honoured at the CEO Awards at a gala event on Wednesday Night.
Fifteen of the Middle East’s finest executives were presented with awards at the lavish ceremony at Emirates Towers in Dubai, with Spark Group chairman Brigadier Abdulla Mohamed Al Mulla picking up the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award.
Another prominent figure in business – Dubai Duty Free executive vice chairman Colm McLoughlin – was handed the award for Outstanding Contribution to Business, while former Arabtec CFO Ziad Makhzoumi won Healthcare CEO of the Year for his work as the head of fertility clinic Fakih IVF.
Chairman of Wasl, His Excellency Hesham Abdullah Al Qassim was recognised as Real Estate CEO of the Year, while Majida Ali Rashid of Dubai Land Department won Female CEO of the Year, and PepsiCo boss Omar Farid picked up Consumer Goods CEO of the year.
The evening also featured a keynote speech by the UN’s UAE representative, His Excellence Sayed Aqa.
