Emirates airline is urging passengers to factor extra time into their travel plans during the busy spring break holiday period.
According to Emirates, the busiest time for departures will be Friday, March 23rd, as well as Saturday, March 24th and Sunday, March 25th.
In a statement, Emirates reminded travellers that road works and infrastructure enhancements are ongoing around the main airport, and to arrive to the airport at least three hours before their scheduled departure time.
Passengers can check in at the airport as early as six hours before departing for their flight, and have been requested to do so no later than two hours prior to departure. Customers who check in less than an hour from their departure time will not be accepted for travel.
Additionally, travellers can check in online from 48 hours to 90 minutes before flight departure.
Emirates also offers car park check –in facilities through 16 check-in counters in Zone C, which can also be used to drop off their luggage. Alternatively, passengers can use one of the 46 dedicated bag drop counters in economy class or separate counters in first and business class.
Lastly, the airline has reminded passengers to get to their boarding gate on time, with gates opening 90 minutes and closing 20 minutes before departure.
