UAE-based Alpha Data picked up the Microsoft hardware-OEM competency award at the software giant’s recently held Gulf partner summit.
Orlando Ayala, senior VP small and midmarket solutions and partners (SMS&P) at Microsoft presented the award to Alpha Data’s distribution division manager Mohammed Abdeen.
“We are pleased that our efforts as a partner have been highlighted in the presence of more than 400 partners from around the Middle East,” commented Abdeen. “We believe that our commitment as a team to adhere to our quality policy and core values has resulted in this award. At the end of the day, our thanks go to our customers who continue to place their trust in Alpha Data.”
Zaid Abunuwar, SMS&P director at Microsoft Gulf, added: “The hardware-OEM sector is a very important sector for Microsoft, and we are making major investments to support our systems builder partners.”

Alpha Data claims to be one of the UAE’s largest IT companies, distributing, installing and servicing products from a number of major technology vendors. The company operates in various IT fields including networking, telecommunications, audio-visual solutions and distribution.
