UAE hot weather

In the UAE, temperatures hit over 50.2°C in the Al Dhafra region of Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, as the country battled through an intense heatwave during this summer.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has reported that temperatures have regularly been in the high 40s, causing discomfort for residents and visitors alike.

Despite these conditions, the weather bureau has forecasted a potential respite from the heat in the coming days, with a “probability of rainfall” expected in the southern and eastern regions of the Emirates on Sunday.

Fog alerts were also issued for Thursday morning for western areas of the country, and more foggy weather is anticipated on Friday.

However, visibility may be impacted in the next few days due to looming dust storms.

Nevertheless, high humidity levels remain a persistent challenge. Over the next five days, humidity levels are predicted to reach up to 85 percent in Abu Dhabi, making the already sweltering summer feel even hotter.

The UAE is known for its hot and dry conditions during July and August, followed by damp weather in early June and a muggy September, humorously referred to as “Sweat-tember”.

However, this year has seen an unusual thickness of moisture in the air, resulting in a more humid climate.
