Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, which manages the granting of houses for UAE nationals in the UAE, has appointed Emirates Post as the sole agency for handling applications
All 84 post offices of Emirates Post will receive and deliver documents for the programme.
“Emirates Post is pleased to add another important service for the local community,” said Abdullah Al Daboos, director general of Emirates Post. “Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme is one of the noblest initiatives of the government of the UAE and we are proud to support it by facilitating the submission and delivery of documents. Introducing this new services forms part of our efforts to diversify our service portfolio.”
Emirates Post will first inform the applicant about the outcome by courier, through Empost, and later supplement the communication by SMS, ordinary mail and through the website, before they are published in the media.
For individuals, the service will include submitting and delivering applications, updating the data, delivering the documents to Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme office and communicating the results. For corporates, which include companies associated with the construction of the project, Emirates Post will accept documents, submit them to the programme’s office, update information and cancel contracts.
“Through the 84 post offices in the UAE, we will be able to offer convenience to UAE nationals,” said Al Daboos. “This will take them closer to the dream of owning a house. We will be training our staff to handle the documents, as well as answer all queries pertaining to applications.”
