eTech Security is aiming to bring e-security to the forefront in the region by establishing an office in Dubai Internet City. The IT security solutions and service company stressed the major shortage of IT security awareness throughout the world and emphasised the immediacy of security deployment.
eTech Security is partnering Cisco, Baltimore, WISekey and Network Associates to provide best-of-breed solutions. etech will also offer its own services including security management and risk assessment, along with training and implementation services.
Steve Crutchley, UAE operations regional director, said the company is in talks with various telcos, banks and governments in the region. He added “IT security is a crucial issue and somewhere in the region of $100 million will be spent on e-security in the Middle East in the next three to five years.”
“Every industry in the region, from banking to telecommunications to transportation is vulnerable to the latest computer viruses, as well as hacker attacks and network intrusion. eTech has assembled a team of experts to develop and implement security strategies that are tailored to individual organisations’ needs giving businesses piece of mind,” explained Peter van Veyeren, eTech Security’s operations director.
The company also has offices in Riyadh, Oman and Jordan.
