UAE records 304 new Covid-19 cases, 701 recoveries

More than 43,000 tests were conducted over a 24-hour period.


Covid-19 recoveries in the UAE were nearly double the number of newly confirmed infections as the country continues to battle the ongoing pandemic, the Ministry of Health and Prevention said on Sunday.

According to Ministry figures, a total of 304 new Covid-19 cases were detected, bringing the UAE’s total to 42,294.

Additionally, 701 individuals were confirmed to have fully recovered from Covid-19, bringing the number of recoveries in the country to 27,462.

One additional death was also reported. The UAE’s Covid-19 death toll now stands at 289.

More than 43,000 tests were conducted over a 24-hour period.

Globally, there have been more than 7.9 million confirmed cases of Covid-19, including 435,593 deaths and 4.11 million recoveries.
