A credible social media presence has increasingly become a crucial element in job hunting. One survey found that 87 percent of recruiters are regular LinkedIn users, demonstrating the growing prominence of online job boards amid fierce talent war in different markets.
This professional digital persona could bring even higher stakes for business leaders, who aim to take their influence on a platform that reaches millions of people regularly.
“Authenticity has become a differentiating marker in the new age of social communication, and that especially rings true for leaders,” Ali Matar, head of LinkedIn EMEA venture markets, said.
“Economic uncertainty and huge changes in the world of work have made it necessary for public figures and executives to own their voice and demonstrate understanding of their audiences, in order to build resilient and credible digital presence,” he told Arabian Business.
The LinkedIn executive said they have seen a 25 percent increase in public conversations on the platform in 2021.
“As such, LinkedIn is the place to be for leaders seeking to connect with their audiences and set themselves apart,” Matar added.
On the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day, the professional social media platform has put together a list of Emirati women who are active on LinkedIn.
“We are proud to spotlight the successful Emirati women who have established authentic presence on the platform,” he said.
