GAC Shipping’s agency network has expanded to Spain through an alliance agreement with ship agent, Aarus Maritima.
Established in 1993, Aarus specialises in providing round-the-clock ship agency services for clients who operate or trade in liquid cargoes. Its alliance with GAC covers all ports in the Spanish Mainland, Gibraltar Strait, Balearic and Canary Islands and North Africa Dependencies.
“GAC and Aarus share the same commitment in identifying and introducing cost effective solutions,” said Lars Heisselberg, vice president for GAC Group’s Shipping Services. “Our combined network and resources will put the alliance in a strong position to meet the demand for port and ship agency services, particularly in the tramp and liner sectors.”
The GAC global agency network is an important growth model for the GAC Group, involving strategic tie-ups with suitable partners in its target geographical expansion areas. The alliances aim to develop GAC’s international position as an integrated service provider with in-depth local expertise.
