Kruse GWS Auctions, a global auction house and leading innovator in the industry, announced the launch of its auctions in Dubai, beginning with the first luxury goods and entertainment memorabilia auction in the fourth quarter of 2023.

It also disclosed plans to auction to purchase real estate in the city – claiming to be the first auction house to do so – a move which it said was taken due to the overwhelming demand for properties in Dubai.

This is also the first time the generational auction house has opened in a foreign country in over 100 years.

“After five years of careful planning and development, Kruse GWS Auctions will bring the company’s exceptional service to the vibrant, ever-evolving market of Dubai,” the company said in a media statement.

“Our commitment to excellence and investment in new technologies is part of the reason we chose Dubai to further our global expansion, including establishing relationships with builders such as Emar & Damac Properties,” it said.

The company said it looked forward to becoming a valuable asset to all of the great developers in the region and continuing to serve Royal Families in the region as well.

“We take great pride in catering to consumers wherever they may be and our launch in Dubai will only further our commitment to the UAE community. We are looking forward to serving the UAE,” Brigitte Kruse, Founder & Lead Auctioneer, Kruse GWS Auctions, said.

The company said it will initiate the first entertainment and celebrity owned asset auction in the region in late 2023 or early 2024, focusing on fine jewellery, iconic fashion handbags and master timepieces.

The first auction list will also include a collection of memorabilia from the life and career of Michael Jackson as well as other notable icons.

“It will be an extraordinary auction experience featuring an array of extremely valuable luxury goods and one-of-a-kind entertainment pieces with significant investment value,” it said.

The company said the UAE’s dynamic economy offers a robust international business association for its expansion into the country and the region.

Kruse GWS Auctions, billed as the world-record breaking auction house, specializes in entertainment memorabilia, fine jewellery, master timepieces, real estate, celebrity experience packages, royal artifacts, luxury vehicles, NFTs, cryptocurrency auctions and collectibles.

Founder Dame Brigitte Kruse is the first female auctioneer to set a Guinness World Record and is a member of the Forbes Los Angeles Business Council.

A fifth-generation auctioneer, Brigitte Kruse also built the world’s first NFT marketplace with a live auction feature.

The auction house has been featured around the world for sales of such notable items as Elvis Presley’s personal jet, Marilyn Monroe’s famous black dress, Marlon Brando’s historic Rolex watch, Italian Renaissance philosopher Machiavelli’s estate in Florence, Italy and the 14th century celadon bowl owned by the last Empress of Vietnam.
