Aconex is to provide online document management services for the Sarab Al Areen project in Bahrain.
Gulf Development Real Estate Company (GDREC) has signed a deal with the Australian vendor to manage all the information the project generates and streamline communication between firms working on the US$300million project.
Teams working on the Sarab project, a 176,000 square metre integrated commercial development, will use Aconex’s web-based system to store and manage project information such as plans, drawings and correspondence in a secure, centralised site.
Mazen Al-Braikan, deputy general manager at GDREC, highlighted the solution’s ability to streamline communication between teams. “The project will generate a large volume of information, so being able to effectively control this flow of information throughout the design and construction phases will reduce our exposure to risks,” he said.
