Masraf Al Rayan bank signs services deal with MEEZA

MEEZA to provide data centre services to Islamic bank to deliver secure and stable solutions to customers

Masraf Al Rayan Islamic bank has signed a managed services agreement with Qatar’s MEEZA, for data centre services.

Under the agreement, MEEZA will provide high availability and secure data centre services to the bank, to enable it to deliver reliable services to its customers.

Hamad Al Mannai, MEEZA Deputy CEO commented: “MEEZA is proud to be able to contribute to the success of Masraf Al Rayan through this agreement. By delivering high quality Managed I.T. Services and Solutions, we aim to support the growth and success of companies like Masraf Al Rayan in Qatar and across the region.”

MEEZA, a Qatar Foundation joint venture which launched in November, will provide the services from its M-VAULT T3, its Tier III Data Centre in the Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP). The facility offers 99.98% availability, which MEEZA says is the highest availability offered by any commercial data centre in the country.

In addition to the present agreement, Masraf Al Rayan said that it would look to other managed services from MEEZA to help meet its IT requirements as it expands in Qatar and other territories.

Adel Mustafawi, CEO of Masraf Al Rayan, stated: “Our relationship with MEEZA will enable Masraf Al Rayan to continue to deliver the best levels of service and security to our customers.”
