State-owned Dubai Aerospace Enterprise said on Saturday it had ordered $770 million worth of engines from General Electric to power 15 Boeing aircraft.
Dubai Aerospace signed initial agreements at the Dubai air show to buy as many as 100 aircraft each from Boeing and Airbus.
It ordered GE90-115B engines to power 10 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft and GEnx engines for five Boeing 747-8 freighters, Dubai Aerospace said in a statement.
In September, Dubai Aerospace dropped a $1.8 billion bid for New Zealand’s Auckland airport.
