Emirates strengthens partnership with Envirotainer

Emirates SkyCargo has become the latest carrier to join Envirotainer’s list of premium partners.

Emirates SkyCargo has become the latest carrier to join Envirotainer’s list of premium partners.

Representatives from both companies recently converged in Munich to sign a contract agreement, which secures Emirates SkyCargo’s position as strategic partner for Envirotainer in the Middle East.

“With our extensive background and experience with cool chain solutions, this cooperation should give our customers tremendous confidence. The agreement translates to value for customers, particularly the pharmaceutical industry,” said Ram Menen, divisional senior vice president of cargo, Emirates.

Emirates SkyCargo started its cooperation with Envirotainer in 2003. It has since established a professional infrastructure and handling procedures to protect temperature-controlled shipments, complemented by a dedicated cool chain team and global training programme.

As part of the agreement, Emirates SkyCargo will receive a dedicated Envirotainer account manager, broad access to research and development, consulting services and greater flexibility to ship across both companies’ networks and beyond.

“Emirates SkyCargo has gained a reputation as a reliable and professional cool chain solutions provider for many pharmaceutical customers,” said Thomas Persson, CEO and president of Envirotainer.

“We are delighted that this fastest-growing global carrier has now joined our premium partner league and believe in Emirates SkyCargo’s commitment to deliver high quality service,” he added.

The announcement coincides with Envirotainer’s decision to make Dubai one of its network stations.

The company’s Dubai station is authorised to provide full maintenance support for its products and house a larger stock of containers, including a fleet of RKN e1 heating and cooling containers, which should lead to improved access for Emirates SkyCargo customers.
