Sama launches frequent flyer programme

Travellers offered one free trip for every nine taken.

Saudi Arabian low-cost carrier (LCC) Sama has launched a frequent flyer programme.

The ‘Frequent Traveller’ initiative, which is part of the airline’s ‘Just for You’ campaign, offers members one free trip for every nine taken, via any of Sama’s sales centres or airport sales shops.

“To get the free ticket, all you need to do is provide nine boarding passes for the same passenger, at any Sama sales shops (domestic or international), then choose your free destination and collect your free flight,” explained Sama director of marketing Faisal Al-Duhaim.

Sama chief commercial officer Samer Atawi noted that the airline was the first of the Middle East’s LCCs to launch a frequent flyer programme and said the “Just for You” customer care campaign was Sama’s slogan for the current year, and “a goal to achieve continuously”.

The airline had also increased the total weight of passenger baggage allowance from 15kg to 20kg, he stressed.
