The first gym inspired by the training and fitness philosophy of UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov is set to open in the West Yas Community on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island.
Palms Sports announced that the West Yas Community is set to become home to the world’s first Khabib Gym by Palms Sports.
Spread over a 1,500 sq m area leased from Miral, the gym is currently under construction, a statement said.
The gym will feature a host of fitness options, including a unique MMA cage that will allow aspiring young athletes and budding fighters to train to the highest standards and build their competitive edge.
Staffed with internationally accredited instructors and trainers, the facility will cater to different disciplines of martial arts including a large, matted area for grappling sports such as Jiu-Jitsu and wrestling, and a separate studio for striking-based sports such as Muay Thai, boxing and kickboxing.
The facility will also include a gym with cardio, fitness and cycling areas as well as a functional training zones, paddle tennis courts, and a swimming pool.

Established in 2011, Palms Sports is a UAE-based company that promotes niche sporting activities with a specific focus on Jiu-Jitsu and Martial Arts to UAE Nationals.

Overlooking the natural mangroves around Yas Island, the waterfront villa community of West Yas is home to retail centres, a community centre and a mosque.
